The Jill Chapman Award for the Best Quality Improvement Free Paper
This award is for the author(s) of the best quality improvement free paper at the conference.
This award, which was presented for the first time in 1988, honours the first president of the Australian Hand Therapy Association. It is valued at $300.00 and is funded by Jill Chapman.
The Australian Hand Surgery Society Prize
The Australian Hand Surgery Society Prize is awarded to the author(s) of the best research-free paper at the conference. It was presented for the first time in 1998. The prize is $300 and is paid for by the AHSS.
The Leanne Breen Memorial Award
This award is for the author(s) of the best poster at the conference. This was presented for the first time in 2010, and its value is $300. This award is partially funded by Leanne’s mother, June Retallick, and the AHTA pays the remaining amount.
Leanne was a member of the AHTA executive as WA Divisional Representative and Divisional Coordinator for many years. She was a frequent presenter at WA AHTA meetings, a mentor and outstanding Perth hand therapy community member.
Rolyan Award for Best Poster for Research in Hand Therapy
The Rolyan Award for Best Poster for Research in Hand Therapy is awarded for the best research poster for treatments specifically using thermoplastic materials. The winner of this award will receive a $1,000.00 cash prize.
